Image Processing

Image processing is a technology with a wide range of applications, such as target tracking using object recognition from a high definition camera on a surveillance vehicle. The products which provide image processing are just as diverse as the applications which require it. Curtiss-Wright has a range of solutions to meet your requirements, from varying FPGA technology for image acquisition and processing, to high performance Intel processors and general purpose graphics processors (GPGPUs).

Depending on the complexity of the application, image processors can require significant processing power, which can prove to be a challenge to deploy in the rugged environment of military vehicles. Curtiss-Wright has taken on this challenge and provided solutions ranging from 1,000 to 3,000W for several different deployed applications. Curtiss-Wright has been able to use innovative air-flow-through technology to cool as much as 200W in a single card slot without the need for additional cooling infrastructure.
 

Display Processing

WThere is more and more data available that needs to be displayed concisely and quickly to the drivers of military vehicles in order to provide them with the information they need for safe operation and mission success. Improved display resolution increases the ability to show more and more data, such as external camera imaging and vehicle, targeting and guidance information, clearly on a single screen.
