The facility also develops some customer-specific solutions, along with a range of card-level COTS products that include power, I/O, and Ethernet modules for integration.

The 20,000-square-foot Salt Lake City facility has been operating since 1983. About 75 percent of the facility is dedicated to the final assembly and testing of Curtiss-Wright Parvus brand products. The facility employs approximately 50 people, of whom approximately 40 percent are engineers.

Scalable Manufacturing with Stringent Processes

The highly skilled production staff at the Salt Lake City facility currently assemble and test approximately 100 to 150 units per month. The temperature-, humidity-, and ESD-controlled production area can support manufacturing of up to 1,500 units per month in a single production shift, with higher capacities possible by adding more shifts.

Staff use advanced tools and methodologies to support our stringent processes. They include:

  • SPICE electronic circuit simulator
  • SolidWorks 3D modeling and simulation software
  • SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • TIPQA quality management software
  • Six Sigma methodologies
