The OpenVPX CHAMP-WB/CHAMP-WB-DRFM/A25G/D25G 6U Quick Start Kit (QSK) from Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions enables the system developer to rapidly prototype a core system for software and fieldprogrammable gate array (FPGA) development using the CHAMP-WB. Other components can be added to this basic configuration or alternative options can be explored.
The QSK comes pre-configured with one x4 data plane connection and one x4 expansion plane connection between the processor card and the FPGA card. Additional cards or cables can be purchased to add additional connections.
This Quick Start Kit includes an OpenVPX chassis, a pass-thru or centralized backplane, a processor card (options for the VPX6-1957 Intel Core i7 SBC or CHAMP-AV8 Intel Core i7 SBC/DSP card), a CHAMP-WB/DRFM/A25G/D25G Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA card, and VxWorks or Fedora Linux.
