The 2U rack mount high-performance Fibre Channel (FC) Storage Area Network (SAN) RAID storage subsystem accommodates up to 12 low profile SAS/SATA disk drives for up to 48 TB of storage capacity....
The Vortex High-speed Data Recording, Playback & Analysis Subsystems provide signal processing applications for real-time data, meeting demands of increased bandwidth and complexity....
Today's high-speed sensor applications produce large amounts of data. The ability to off load that data from the storage device is a key process in the evaluation and processing of the data. To speed up access of recorded data, Curtiss Wright Defense Solutions has developed the SAN Access Kit (SAK), which provides a dedicated Fibre Channel (FC) link directly between a workstation and the disk storage system.
The SAK consists of a high-speed FC host bus adapter (FC-HBA) and SAN Access Software (SAS) that accesses large storage devices via FC from a host PC. The host bus adapter is available in PCI Express (PCIe) and PCI-X form factors. It connects to SBOD, RAID or JBOD storage systems, via arbitrated loop (FC-AL) or switched FC topologies. The SAK allows for efficient access to Curtiss-Wright storage drives and recordings through a web-based GUI, or within user applications via the Storage API.
The SAK supports high-speed Vortex data recorders in a variety of applications such as instrumentation, mission and SIGINT/ELINT recording, as well as rugged, deployable encrypted data storage. SAN Access Software (SAS) enables post-run lab analysis, data mining, archiving and post-run display on host PCs that run on Windows, Solaris and Linux operating systems. The utility is capable of supporting playback of data for a wide range of applications.
