Rugged Multi-Platform MODULAR Computer 5-slot 3U VPX System
The Multi-Platform Modular Computer MPMC-9355-0001 is a flexible, rugged processing system which can be readily configured to meet the needs of any military or aerospace requirement. The MPMC-9355 is an integrated information processing system, providing a complete hardware and software solution.
The MPMC-9355 provides an affordable, high performance, state of the art computing solution by leveraging tried and tested Curtiss-Wright Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) technology to address application specific requirements. Designed to withstand the harsh environments encountered in military and commercial computing applications, the MPMC-9355 circuit cards are isolated from external environmental conditions such as humidity, dust and sand. Cooling is accomplished by thermal transfer between the card edges of the conduction-cooled 3U VPX cards, and the side walls of the system enclosure. EMI filters and gaskets are employed for system security and increased reliability.
Processing power is provided by the VPX3-1257, VPX3-1258 or VPX3-1259 3U OpenVPX Intel Core i7 SBCs or NXP Power Architecture SBCs. The SBC processing power can be supplemented with the VPX3-716 Graphics Processor Card, providing high performance video and support for four displays.
The MPMC-9355 can be ordered as a modified COTS (MCOTS) product with a modified front panel connector set, modified backplane wiring or a modified card set with either an Intel or Power Architecture based processor. It is also possible to integrate additional features required for mission critical or video display systems such as MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, Ethernet switching or video.
