KIT-8041-4310 is a rugged mission system starter kit for aerospace and military platform integrators to quickly evaluate processing and display capabilities of the Parvus DuraCOR 80-41 Core i7 Mission Computer and AVDU4310 advanced resistive touchscreen display for aircraft upgrade and tech refresh programs. Bundled with associated lab cable sets, the starter kit provides a powerful 4th gen quad-core Core i7 processor subsystem and a daylight/night vision-visible 17” display optimized for demanding airborne applications, including helicopter and fixed wing platforms. Both COTS subsystems have undergone extensive environmental and EMI qualification testing per MIL-STDs and/or DO-160 requirements. Each can be optionally modified/customized to meet platform-specific I/O or video requirements.

The DuraCOR 8041 is a rugged small form factor (SFF) mission computer based on a multi-core “Haswell” Intel Core i7 processor with integrated Intel HD Graphics, built-in Mini-PCIe slots (for add-on avionics/general purpose I/O) and non-volatile mSATA SSD storage. Standard I/O in the base DuraCOR 80-41 includes 3 x display outputs, 2 x GbE network interfaces, 2 x USB 3.0 interfaces, 4 x USB 2.0 ports, 5 x COM ports, audio, GPIO and eSATA. In addition to Mini-PCIe modules, the unit can optionally be integrated with PCIe104 I/O cards or removable 2.5” SATA SSDs in add-on mechanical segments to expand I/O capabilities and storage capacities for mission-specific payload requirements. Completely sealed (IP67) against dust and water ingress, the 80-41 requires no active cooling and includes a robust power supply compliant with both military (MIL-STD-704) and aerospace (DO-160) voltage requirements.

The AVDU4310 is a rugged mission display featuring multiple control inputs including Ethernet, CANBus, RS-232/RS-422 and USB, and the most widely used video interfaces including HD-SDI, VGA and composite video, offering maximum flexibility to system integrators. With a 17” viewable area, optically-bonded glass, daylight readability, and dual mode NVIS-compatible LED backlighting, the AVDU4310 includes a rich feature set, highly flexible video input capability and full touchscreen operation. The display can be used in standalone mode, where multiple video input capability can be used to present a number of configurable operator views, or as part of a Curtiss-Wright video management system (VMS) alongside video distribution switches and recorders. When used in a VMS, the displays’ touchscreen capability allows all the functionality of these units to be easily controlled by the operator.
