To take advantage of the advanced sensors that are being fitted to new or upgraded vehicles, mission displays need to match or exceed the vehicle-mounted sensors resolution. They also need to provide a level of customization for the individual application, have the connectivity and I/O required to interface with the other elements of the Video Management System (VMS), and ensure readability in varying light conditions. Playing many roles, such as a moving map or quad view operator display, mission displays enable mission success through critical features such as flexibility, usability and reliability.
Our high definition (HD) displays are designed for use with the industrys most popular sensors, including Forward-looking infrared (FLIR) and long range daylight video cameras. Below are three families of displays offering a range of screen sizes from 7" to 21.5". Curtiss-Wright displays are readable in all light conditions, providing anytime readability and ensuring you wont miss a moment of the action, no matter your application. They achieve this market-leading daylight visibility by means of powerful LED backlights and optical bonding to reduce internal reflection and enhance contrast. In addition, they feature leading edge functionality, including multiple video inputs, picture-in-picture, quad view, and video freeze frame. These rugged, HD airborne-qualified mission displays are ideal for use with our fully integrated video management system (VMS).
We provide reliable solutions for the harsh environments found in commercial aerospace, public safety aviation applications and rugged defense platforms, and back them with extended support programs that ensure optimal performance for decades.
Display Families Overview
- AVDU displays are ideal for large video systems with several video inputs, on-screen VMS control and built-in video processing functions such as quad-view and picture in picture.
- SVDU displays are perfect for medium sized video system applications and for direct connection to computer systems that only require a single input and no additional processing.
- GVDU displays have been developed specifically for the ground vehicle market where there is less incident light, an increase risk of sand and water in the air, and a prevalence of gloved display use. They have been designed in accordance to the UK MODs Generic Vehicle Architecture (GVA) to ensure they meet the requirements for vetronics applications.
RVDU displays are SWaP optimized rugged displays designed for non-mission critical applications such as vehicle reversing and equipment monitoring.
