Safety-Certifiable Avionics Computing and Graphics Platforms
The spirit of innovation demonstrated by Glenn Curtiss and the Wright brothers lives on in the highly flexible SPIRIT series DO-178C/DO-254 safety-certifiable avionics computing and graphics platforms. The SPIRIT series allows integrators to save precious time, project cost and mitigate integration risk using safety-certifiable COTS modules pre-integrated in proven chassis with available certification artifacts up to DAL A for a wide variety of applications.
The SPIRIT series utilizes the increasing array of high performance Curtiss-Wright safety-certifiable COTS modules as building blocks. The COTS building blocks can be integrated into a selection of ruggedized chassis, pre-qualified to commercial DO-160G and military aerospace MIL-STD-461F/810G standards for a wide range of rugged avionics applications.
Every safety critical system has very specific requirements and a “one size fits all” approach is not practical. With a flexible set of certifiable COTS modules, chassis that can have backplane and I/O panel modifications and a stringent process following SAE ARP 4761, 4754A a wide range of avionics systems can be created with a clear path to certification. Program risks are minimized by using a rapid prototyping development system to create applications in a representative lab environment.
