The CAMHD-C cockpit area camera is a high definition (HD) color camera designed to support image capture within the aircraft cabin. Housed in a robust aluminium fairing the CAMHD-C camera is protected to operate within an aircraft.
Designed to be cabin or cockpit mounted, the CAMHS-C’s high definition 1080i imager provides simultaneous digital HD-SDI and Ethernet video output for interface to cockpit and cabin video systems. This camera outputs a fully user selectable video stream, with options to configure features such as
- GOP or Fps
- Protocol H.264, MPEG or MJPEG
- Specific blanking area on sensor
Captured images are output via a 10/100Base-T Ethernet interface at four complete frames per second for ED-112A compliance. This supports aircraft incident analysis where aircraft Flight Recorder Systems are expanding to capture Cockpit Area Images to record in crash survivable memory arrays. The output is compatible with recorders such as Curtiss-Wright’s next generation Fortress recorder that supports Airborne Image Recording.
