Features
- Monitors a single EFABus Express or STANAG-3910 dual-redundant avionics bus
- Coherently parses traffic and tags for up to 255 messages
- LED indication on module top block for traffic (green) and errors (red) for each bus
- Detects CRC, Frame Control (FC) and Word Count (WC) errors and measures bus utilization
- In STANAG-3910 mode, counts Status and Data (SD) frames and in EFABus Express mode, counts SD frames on one counter and all frames on a separate counter
Applications
- EFABus Express or STANAG-3910 avionics bus monitoring

EFAbus Express/STANAG 3910 bus monitor parser - 1 channel dual redundant
The KAM/SBM/101 is a bus monitor for use with EFABus Express or STANAG-3910 dual-redundant avionics busses. The KAM/SBM/101 monitors both primary and secondary busses simultaneously, and coherently parses up to 255 different bus messages (the full message word length of 4,096 words per message). Each message can be given a unique 8-bit ID, based on the Frame Control (FC), Physical Address (PA) and Destination Address (DA) in the case of STANAG-3910 and FC and Data Set Identification (DSI) for EFABus Express respectively.
The KAM/SBM/101 parses messages from the primary and secondary busses into the designated PARSER slot. Messages that have not been given a specific ID are sent to the catchall PARSER. The KAM/SBM/101 maintains a message count for both primary and secondary busses, and reports errors which occur on both busses. Thus, the KAM/SBM/101 has four LEDs: two per bus indicating traffic (green) and errors (red). In the event that a 4-bit PReamble (PR) and Start Delimiter is received, the green LED for each bus lights for 100 to 200 ms. If an error is detected the red LED lights for 100 to 200 ms. The KAM/SBM/101 keeps a message count, stale and skipped indication for each of the 255 parsed messages. The KAM/SBM/101 is two KAM-500 user-slots wide.
